Job summary

The Redline Group is partnering with an established engineering technology business based in West Yorkshire to recruit a Contract Embedded Software Engineer for an immediate start two‑month project with hybrid working options. You’ll join a small, highly collaborative team to contribute from day one on an important software upgrade.

The role focuses on embedded C development, RTOS, and STM32 microcontrollers, with desirable experience in train operating systems/TDRP.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C development experience.
• Experience with RTOS such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
• Experience developing software for STM32 microcontrollers.
• Previous experience on train operating systems/TDRP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Modify an existing embedded platform for a time‑critical customer programme.
• Provide software resource across ongoing product development activities.
