Job summary

Redline Group seeks a Contract Electronic Assembler to join its Bedfordshire operations in Shefford. The role focuses on assembling electronic and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings, with emphasis on soldering, PCB assembly, and cable harnessing.

You will read and follow assembly instructions, maintain quality standards, and support production schedules in a fast-paced environment. IPC qualifications are advantageous, and the role remains site-based.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an electronics manufacturing or production environment.
• Competent soldering skills and experience assembling electronic products.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience with cable harnesses, wiring and electro-mechanical assembly would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• PCB assembly, component fitting and cable assembly.
• Soldering to a high standard, including through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Conducting visual inspections and basic testing of assembled products.
• Maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
• Supporting manufacturing teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
