Location: Manchester area, inside scope, PAYE/Umbrella options

Pay Range: Up to £450.00 p/h rotating shifts, Days or Nights

Contract Type: Contract 3 month ongoing

Working Patterns: 12 Hour Shifts

We are recruiting for a fast-paced multi-site manufacturer in the FMCG sector, a world-leading business with a 100-year history.

We are seeking an Electrical bias / competent contract shift engineer for ad-hoc shift cover, including days and nights.

We want a multi-skilled maintenance engineer who thrives in a proactive, electrical bias, front-line maintenance role.

Key Responsibilities – Contract Electrical Engineer – Temporary Ad hoc Cover

• Service, adjust, and repair process and production machinery and equipment using necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
• Examine machinery and equipment, report on condition and performance, and plan improvements.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance according to schedules.
• Work as part of a team to ensure site operations meet World Class Standards.

Qualifications & Requirements – Contract Electrical Engineer - Temporary Ad Hoc Cover

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar manufacturing qualification.
• Or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical fields, preferably with a manufacturing background.
• A competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience.
• Problem-solving skills, PLC/automation experience is desirable.
• Ability to produce safe systems of work.

This is a hands-on maintenance electrical role, including conveyors and end-of-line processing equipment. Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organization of the engineering plant are essential.
