Job summary

FS Recruitment Services in Leeds is seeking a Contract Electrical Engineer with strong experience supervising LV electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, generators and UPS systems. Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical or Building Services Engineering is required.
• BS7671 18th Edition or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience as Electrical Engineer in complex estates such as Higher Education, NHS, or commercial environments.
• Knowledge of LV electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, generators, and UPS.
• Experience managing statutory electrical compliance and PPM activities.
• Experience managing specialist maintenance contractors and service contracts.
• Ability to produce technical specifications and review designs.
• Interpretation of electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and related legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
• Ability to operate within an AP electrical safety management system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LV electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, generators, and UPS systems.
• Support statutory electrical compliance and planned preventive maintenance.
