Job summary

IPS Group is seeking an experienced Temporary Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records and ensure accuracy across the business. You will maintain financial data, process transactions and prepare monthly management reports.

Role includes VAT returns to HMRC, payroll support, journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, and assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasting. Strong organisational skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and financial record keeping.
• Strong numerical ability and accuracy.
• Experience with VAT and payroll support is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day financial records using accounting software.
• Process and reconcile sales and purchase ledgers.
• Raise customer invoices and allocate receipts.
• Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and prepare payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow records.
• Assist with payroll, pension administration and expenses processing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
