Job description

Are you passionate about continuous improvement and driving operational excellence? Our client is seeking a proactive and driven Continuous Improvement Manager to support their Operations Director in embedding and championing lean methodologies across their manufacturing and administrative operations.

About the Role

As CI Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic and hands-on implementation of LEAN strategies throughout the business. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead improvement workshops, coach colleagues, and contribute directly to the success of the continuous improvement culture. Your impact will be visible through enhanced employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training in LEAN tools and methods, and support the development of a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead and moderate improvement workshops (e.g., 5S, layout planning, set-up time reduction).
  • Support strategic projects and ensure timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Coordinate CI strategy deployment and audit actions within the UK.
About You

You’ll be a hands-on process improvement expert with a strong manufacturing background, ideally with:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or a similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing successful improvement projects on the shop floor.
  • Strong working knowledge of LEAN methodologies and tools such as waste elimination, flow production, 5S, and preventative maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to coach and develop others.
  • Good project management skills and familiarity with tools such as Gantt charts, RACI matrices, and KPIs.

This role is a rare opportunity to join an established business continuing to invest in its manufacturing operations. Full job description and package details are available on request. Apply today for immediate consideration!
