I’m recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Blackburn, who are looking to strengthen and grow their existing CI & Manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the analysis and optimisation of processes across various departments, enhancing efficiency, minimising waste, and reducing costs. The successful candidate will have the chance to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence aligned with Lean philosophy.
What you'll do:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and improvements within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools and methodologies, and you’ll be instrumental in promoting a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring stakeholders across the organisation. Your expertise in Lean will be utilised as you educate teams on various tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Built-in Quality. You will also manage data and metrics, develop systems for monitoring progress, analyse trends, and track performance. Additionally, you will oversee strategic projects that align with business goals while maintaining up-to-date documentation. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally will be key as you work with various teams to achieve organisational goals.
