Job summary

Cytix in Manchester is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join the AppSec Engineering team. This role focuses on integrating continuous penetration testing into the SDLC and collaborating with clients and in-house developers to strengthen security.

You will perform web, API, and mobile testing across industries, drive vulnerability remediation with stakeholders, and help shape the next generation of continuous security testing. This is open to office visits twice a month or remote work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Penetration Testing or AppSec-focused roles.
• Experience collaborating with developers and clients to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Penetration testing of web applications, APIs, and mobile apps for clients across industries.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
• Perform risk reviews of application changes as part of continuous security testing.
