Job summary

Instil is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester with CHECK to join our growing security team in Manchester. This hands-on role focuses on delivering penetration testing across infrastructure, cloud, web, and mobile applications for a diverse client base.

You will identify and remediate weaknesses, help shape our testing methodologies, and mentor junior testers. If you are passionate about offensive security and thrive on challenging projects in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Must hold Current UK Security Clearance and CTM status.
• At least 2+ years of penetration testing experience.
• Strong web and network penetration testing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Active Directory.
• Experience with cloud security reviews and cloud environments.
• Proficient with BurpSuite Pro, Nmap, Nessus, Kali Linux.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on penetration testing across infrastructure, cloud, web, and mobile apps.
• Identify, assess, and remediate security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to developing testing methodologies and mentor junior testers.
