I’m recruiting for a hands-on Contingent Workforce Operations Specialist to support a major global organisation through an upcoming acquisition.

You will own the operational detail of the contingent workforce transition, acting as the link between the internal programme team, business stakeholders, the MSP and staffing suppliers. Your focus will be ensuring worker information is accurate, risks are identified early and no contractor falls through the cracks.

This is not a recruitment role. It requires someone who understands contingent workforce operations and is equally comfortable working with detailed data, coordinating stakeholders and resolving day-to-day issues.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Gather, validate and reconcile contingent worker data from the acquired entity.
  • Build and maintain detailed Excel trackers, weekly summaries and issue logs.
  • Support due diligence by responding accurately and quickly to workforce data requests.
  • Review worker status, classification, tenure, rates and supplier information.
  • Coordinate worker transitions with the MSP, staffing suppliers and internal teams.
  • Help migrate worker records into HRIS and VMS platforms.
  • Manage onboarding, orientations, background checks and system setup.
  • Update worker records and track compliance documents, renewals and outstanding actions.
  • Manage ServiceNow tickets and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Identify classification, compliance, tenure or market-rate risks and escalat them appropriately.
  • Provide high-touch, discreet support for sensitive or business-critical workforce matters.
  • Review existing supplier arrangements and support worker or supplier consolidation where required.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least three years’ experience in contingent workforce operations, MSP delivery, VMS operations or supplier management.
  • Strong understanding of contingent worker classifications and the differences between employees, contractors, temporary workers, independent contractors and SOW resources.
  • Excellent Excel and data-reconciliation skills.
  • Experience managing worker records across onboarding, extensions, renewals and offboarding.
  • Good knowledge of contingent workforce compliance and associated risks.
  • Experience coordinating with MSP teams, staffing suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ownership.
  • Clear communication and confidence working across multiple teams.
  • A practical approach and willingness to take responsibility for detailed operational work.

Previous experience supporting an M&A event, organisational transition, workforce migration, MSP change or VMS implementation would be a significant advantage.

This role would suit someone who is known for getting into the detail, spotting what others miss and following issues through until they are properly resolved.
