Talent STEM Ltd in West Yorkshire is seeking a hands-on Chemical Production Shift Manager to lead a team of operators and deliver safe, efficient production on a continental shift pattern. The role focuses on people, plant safety and performance across busy shifts.

The ideal candidate has experience in regulated process manufacturing, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Salary £50,000–£54,000 with a site bonus and enhanced pension, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading production personnel.
• Strong health, safety and process safety knowledge.
• Experience with SOPs, permits and controlled manufacturing processes.
• Calm, effective decision-making under pressure.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience collaborating with maintenance, engineering and quality teams.
• ONC, HNC or HND or equivalent industry experience.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safe production.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to achieve production targets safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Manage, support and develop a team of Chemical Process Operators.
• Allocate work and ensure staff are trained, competent and authorized for their duties.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and process safety compliance.
• Ensure manufacturing activities follow procedures, permits and site rules.
• Monitor plant performance and respond to process or production issues.
• Make operational decisions within your area of responsibility.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics and Quality Control.
