Job summary

Seven Group Holdings Limited is seeking a Contextual Safeguarding Coordinator at a junior to senior practitioner level in Chester. The role offers full-time or part-time hours as a locum, with a focus on safeguarding children and young people beyond the family home, including addressing exploitation and youth violence.

You will lead safeguarding initiatives across services, work with schools and partner agencies, and contribute to risk assessments and multi-agency responses from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience leading contextual safeguarding initiatives in children's services.
• Ability to advise on risk management in schools and peer groups.
• Strong collaborative skills with multi-agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of contextual safeguarding practices across Children's Services.
• Provide expert advice on managing risks in peer groups, schools, and online spaces.
• Coordinate responses to extra-familial harm such as exploitation and gangs, and support the development of risk assessments and strategies.
• Lead multi-agency meetings and foster strong partnerships with police, education, health, and community sectors.
• Engage with communities, schools, and businesses to advocate for children's safety and well-being.
