Title: Senior Associate - Contentious Trusts & Probate 5/6+PQE

Location: Blandford & Dorchester

Role Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced solicitor with a passion for contentious trusts and probate? Our client, a prestigious law firm based in Dorset, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Contentious Trusts and Probate team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Contentious Trusts and Probate, managing and developing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Matters: Deliver high-quality legal services, ensure adherence to policies, lead by example in IT system use, address client concerns promptly.
• Managing People: Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, mentor junior colleagues, manage team performance and training.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain advanced legal knowledge, manage external experts, uphold professional conduct, define scope of services, communicate with clients, monitor WIP and contribute to budgeting.
• Business Development: Promote the firm’s services, organize client events, write articles, represent the firm externally.
• Personal Attributes: Maintain confidentiality, exhibit professionalism, collaborate across departments, adhere to firm policies.
• Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in contentious trusts and probate law.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload profitably.
