Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Contentious Probate Principal Associate / Legal Director in Birmingham. This senior role offers the chance to handle high-value matters, build client relationships, and shape the growth of the Birmingham Contentious Probate practice within a respected national firm.

Qualifications

• Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor at Principal Associate, Legal Director or equivalent level
• Strong technical experience across contentious probate matters
• Strong client relationship and business development skills

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of complex and high-value Contentious Probate matters
• Advise individuals, families, trustees and other interested parties on contentious trust and estate matters
• Deal with disputes concerning wills, trusts, estates and inheritance
• Work closely with a Legal 500-renowned Partner and wider Private Client team
• Play an active role in developing and growing the Birmingham Contentious Probate practice
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify and support business development opportunities
• Mentor and support more junior members of the team
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Birmingham offering
