Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited's client in London is seeking a construction solicitor with 1-2 years PQE to focus on contentious construction matters.

You will work on disputes including time and delay claims, workmanship issues, and professional negligence, and you will draft and negotiate building contracts (principally JCT contracts), plus related terms such as collateral warranties and performance bonds, and you will handle your own files as well as assist others on larger transactions.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' PQE in construction law.

Responsibilities

• Handle contentious construction matters including disputes, time and delay claims, workmanship and materials issues, and professional negligence.
• Draft and negotiate building contracts (principally JCT contracts) and related terms of engagement, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees and performance bonds.
• Work on own files and assist others on larger transactions.
• Join a reputable Legal 500 firm and contribute to an expanding department.
