Job Description :

Summary of Role

At Red Connect, our goal is not just to create content that works, but to excel across all channels available to our clients: media, web, SEO, content, events, and social media. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate, multi-disciplinary writer to collaborate with and learn from a team of content strategists, creative thinkers, account leads, and producers.

Our presence spans an award-winning multinational footprint across the UK (London, Manchester), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane), Asia, the Middle East, and North America (New York, Pittsburgh, Phoenix).

As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will own all editorial and copy within the content department. Your responsibilities include sourcing and managing freelance writers, developing content from social media posts to long-form eBooks, blogs, and ghostwriting, in collaboration with the social and agency teams. You will also copy edit articles, newsletters, and whitepapers for the pharmaceutical and global governance sectors, ensuring content quality, adherence to client tone of voice, guidelines, and best practices before delivery.

You will work closely with the Creative Director and report to the Managing Partner, playing an integral role in building and maintaining strong client relationships by bringing brands to life through content, primarily in social and digital media. Your role includes conducting insightful content audits, supporting strategic content planning, and adapting writing styles for various industries and audiences, including senior leadership.

This role involves joining a dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking team, writing across diverse formats and styles, and staying updated on industry trends. You will also contribute to the agency's LinkedIn presence, developing its voice and audience, and ensuring quality and consistency across social media content.

The position requires a high standard of written work, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proactive attitude towards professional development and internal collaboration.

The Opportunity:

Grow within a global agency leading content and social media best practices, supported by a network of experts across earned media, social, and experience marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

  • Manage content for the content and Red Connect teams, including briefing freelancers, and overseeing writing and proofing.
  • Produce high-quality written content tailored to client needs, tone, and audience.
  • Collaborate with content strategists to develop engaging content ideas and plans based on insights and research.
  • Ensure alignment between written and creative elements with the design team.
  • Participate in client calls from an editorial perspective to foster effective relationships.
  • Work with account managers and business directors to prioritize client needs.
  • Conduct research and content audits to develop targeted editorial strategies.
  • Contribute to content strategy planning with the Global Head of Strategy.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Analyze data to optimize content performance.
  • Stay informed about social media and editorial landscape developments.
  • Make informed creative decisions in the absence of a Creative Director.
  • Incorporate AI tools ethically into work processes, staying updated on innovations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Leverage internal tools (SEO, social listening) to enhance content strategies.
  • Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, proactively addressing potential issues.
Key Attributes:
  • Passionate about content and people.
  • Positive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and grammar.
