SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our small and friendly marketing team. This role will report directly to the Marketing Director and work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and their team. The content created will fuel the campaigns we create and deliver, the events we run, the follow-up conversations and sales enablement toolkit.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer with strong communication skills and the ability to break down complex technology topics into compelling narratives. They will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content plan that supports our marketing and wider business objectives, including creating high-quality thought leadership articles and blogs, web content, printed materials and presentation decks across various channels. They will also create and manage an editorial calendar, working closely with our Digital Marketer, optimizing content for SEO, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, they should be adept at building frameworks and toolkits to scale our go-to-market process driving brand awareness, affinity, and conversion. As a small team, from time to time, there will be a requirement to be flexible and to support each other in the delivery of events and other joint projects or activities.

JOB PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and wider team to create a comprehensive content strategy that supports overall marketing objectives. Identify target audience personas, conduct market research, and stay up to date with industry trends.
  • Generate engaging and high-quality content across various channels, including blog posts, articles, white papers, and video content. Ensure content aligns with the brand voice and resonates with customers.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule content publication. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and Marketing Operations Manager to gather necessary inputs for content creation.
  • Work with the Digital Marketer and our SEO agency to optimise content for search engine visibility and rankings. Conduct keyword research and follow SEO best practices.
  • Content Distribution and Promotion: Work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager and Digital Marketer to develop joint strategies to distribute and promote content across various platforms. Monitor content performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Solutions, Delivery, and Sales, to align content with business objectives. Work with external agencies and freelance writers to ensure consistent quality and brand presence.
  • Content Analytics: Track and analyse content performance using relevant analytics tools working closely with the Digital Marketer. Provide regular reports on key metrics such as website traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.

KEY SKILLS

  • Knowledge of marketing Microsoft Solutions an advantage
  • Storytelling: Ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience and convey the brand's message effectively
  • Strong writing and editing skills to produce high-quality, engaging content across various formats (blogs, white papers, social media, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of graphic design principles and tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create visually appealing content.
  • Experience of briefing external agencies, designers, copywriters, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience of working with SEO or an SEO agency to optimise web content
  • Knowledge of WordPress or similar Content Management System
  • Knowledge of industry research, personas, audience targeting.
  • Experience of reporting on engagement, reach, and conversion metrics
  • Experience of working with AI tools such as Copilot or Agents (desirable)

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Educated to degree level
  • Related marketing or communications qualification an advantage

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Strong track record and proven experience in content management role
  • Experience in a B2B technology business, preferably SaaS
  • Experience of marketing Microsoft Solutions an advantage
  • Evidence of GTM and marketing content development
