Job summary

Forward Role is seeking a Content Executive in Manchester to own the quality and discoverability of website content. You will write product descriptions, category copy, blogs and landing pages that rank and convert.

You’ll work with AI tools to draft at pace, then edit for accuracy and tone, ensuring consistency with tone-of-voice guides and content templates. The role is hybrid with 4 office days and 1 day at home.

Qualifications

• Ecommerce copywriting experience with product descriptions and category copy.
• Strong written English with sharp attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of SEO and keyword research.
• Comfort using AI tools and good judgment on output quality.
• Experience with Shopify, BigCommerce or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage high volumes of content while maintaining quality.
• Comfortable working with data to inform content decisions.

Responsibilities

• Writing and optimising product titles, descriptions and category copy
• Planning and publishing SEO blogs and long-form content
• Keyword research and on-page SEO (meta titles, headings, internal links, alt text)
• Owning merchandising: categories, attributes, imagery and presentation
• Using AI to draft at scale, then editing for accuracy and tone
• Building tone-of-voice guides, templates and prompt libraries
• Structuring content for Google and AI search (clear headings, FAQs, direct answers)
• Auditing old content and refreshing pages that aren't performing
• Writing copy for new launches and the odd email campaign
• Tracking what's working and acting on it

A fast-growing online retailer in Manchester is looking for a Content Executive to own the quality and discoverability of everything on its website. The business is scaling quickly, and content needs to keep up...

You'll work closely with the digital marketing and ecommerce team, writing product descriptions, category pages, blogs and landing pages that rank and convert. The team already uses AI tools to work at pace, so you'll also use them, and you'll check everything before it goes live.

Responsibilities include:
