Your role

As a Content Designer, you will join our growing Digital Factory community, passionate about user-centered design, critical thinking, problem-solving, and building digital services and products.

You will champion inclusive design practices throughout project lifecycles, ensuring solutions are accessible to as many users as possible. This involves engaging with diverse user research, applying accessibility guidelines and legislation, and advocating for inclusive design principles in your deliverables.

Working at Capgemini Invent offers opportunities for growth, working with major clients across public and private sectors. Our offices are in London, Manchester, and Glasgow, with hybrid working options. Some travel to client sites may be required.

As a Content Designer, you will:

• Identify and build strong client relationships across projects, influencing and collaborating on content
• Create and iterate user-centered content that meets user needs
• Use analytics, user feedback, and research to understand user needs and map journeys
• Simplify complex language and processes
• Bring innovative ideas and challenge the status quo
• Advocate for user-centered, iterative, and agile design approaches

Your skills and experience

• Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
• Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams
• Experience designing accessible content for diverse users
• Security Check (SC) clearance or eligibility to obtain it
• Experience with GDS service standards and accessibility legislation like WCAG
• Proficiency in writing inclusive, plain English content
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ideally, you also have:

• Experience in complex regulatory sectors or consulting roles
• Accessibility certifications (CPACC, WAS, CPWA) or working towards them
• Experience testing assistive technologies
• Qualifications in Service Design or Design Thinking
• Experience leading training in Service Design or Design Thinking
• Team leadership experience
• Familiarity with tools like Miro, Mural, Teams, PowerPoint
