The Role

We’re looking for a Content & Automation Manager to lead the creation, scheduling, and performance of Gendo’s content across social and owned platforms—with a twist.

We want someone who can directly produce sharp, engaging content (especially short-form video), but who also thrives in automating workflows, testing tools, and using AI to reduce busywork and maximise time for creative output.

You’ll be at the heart of our growth strategy, working closely with marketing, product and leadership to craft stories that resonate with our audience, while using automation and AI tools to streamline how they’re delivered.

Key Responsibilities

1. Produce compelling content across formats, especially short-form video (reels, tutorials, behind-the-scenes).
2. Edit and publish video content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
3. Develop on-brand visual storytelling aligned with our tone, audience and campaign goals.
4. Plan, write, and schedule content across key platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, etc).
5. Grow and engage our audience through consistent, creative, high-quality posts.
6. Collaborate with our Community Manager to amplify user stories and community content.
7. Use tools like Zapier, ChatGPT, Notion AI or Airtable Automations to streamline publishing workflows, content repurposing, and reporting.
8. Constantly look for ways to eliminate repetitive tasks using AI and automation tools.
9. Track content performance and engagement across channels, using analytics to guide improvements.
10. Test new formats, styles, and publishing tactics to improve reach and resonance.

Requirements

1. Proven experience in content creation and social media management, ideally in a tech or design-led company.
2. Confidence using AI and automation tools to speed up and improve workflows.
3. Clear copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
4. Good eye for design and a feel for what resonates with creative audiences.
5. Familiarity with tools like Zapier, Airtable, Notion, or other no-code platforms.
6. Comfortable operating in a startup environment where speed and autonomy are key.

Bonus Points For

1. Experience using generative AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, Runway, ChatGPT).
2. A background or strong interest in architecture, design, or visual storytelling.
3. Familiarity with SEO best practices or basic video analytics tools (e.g. YouTube Studio, Meta Insights).
