Job summary

Job Description

Looking for hands-on warehouse work with a consistent start time and regular opportunities? We’re recruiting reliable Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution operation handling pre-packed food products.

This role would suit someone who enjoys physical work, likes being part of a team and is looking for ongoing employment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You’ll be working across the warehouse, with your main responsibilities focused on loading and unloading containers and supporting the dispatch operation.

Your duties will include moving pre-packed food products safely around the warehouse, preparing goods for dispatch, checking and organising outgoing products and supporting the wider warehouse team.

You’ll also be expected to keep your working area clean and organised while following all health and safety and food-handling procedures.

Duration: This is an ongoing temporary position offering regular work, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity for reliable and hardworking candidates.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: The position pays £12.71 per hour, with the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days’ annual leave pro rata.

Working Hours: Working HoursThe role has a 10:30 start, with finishing times dependent on the daily workload. Working hours may vary according to operational requirements, so flexibility is important.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience would be an advantage, although a reliable attitude and willingness to work hard are equally important.

You’ll need to be comfortable with physical work, including loading and unloading containers, and able to maintain good attention to detail.

A strong work ethic, good teamwork and an understanding of health and safety procedures are essential.
