Job summary

The Military Treatment Facilities under DHA in the United Kingdom seeks a dedicated benefits specialist who will serve as the primary point of contact for health benefits programs. About the Position

Serves as the point of contact on matters relating to health benefits programs available to eligible beneficiaries. Provides information and assistance based upon personal, written, or telephone inquiries concerning both inpatient and outpatient medical care under the USHBP and medical care from civilian sources under the TRICARE program.

Qualification Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal Service in serving as point of contact on matters relating to health benefits programs available to eligible beneficiaries by providing detailed advice on the benefits covered information concerning available medical services and related matters.

Time in Grade Requirement

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
