Job Title : Project Manager (IT Projects)

Location : London (on-site 1 day per week + agreed days at client site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience managing IT projects or projects in other business areas, using predictive, iterative, or hybrid methodologies. Familiarity with project management software/tools is strongly preferred. While relevant PM certifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and specialization over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  2. Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
  3. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
  4. Provide project status reports to stakeholders.
  5. Support workshops in the Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management (PPPM) area.
  6. Assist clients in identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
  7. Successfully perform programme or project changes without disrupting business operations.
  8. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  9. Track project milestones and deliverables.
  10. Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communications documents.
  11. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  12. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Skills and Competencies

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (predictive, iterative, hybrid).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on various roles within the PPPM area.
  • Valid PM certifications are advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Previous consulting experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.
