Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks two Consultant Neurologists to join their award-winning team. This role involves managing acute neurological cases, with responsibilities across multiple sites. Candidates should be registered with the GMC and possess relevant qualifications. We are looking to recruit to a two whole-time Consultant Neurologists to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, one post with outpatient clinics at Sheffield and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the other post outpatient clinics at Sheffield and Rotherham District General Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Appointments are made to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the person appointed is required to be sufficiently flexible to undertake their main clinical duties at any of the sites within the region and/or to change their base hospital.
The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be expected to actively participate in the management of acute neurological admissions and in-patients including the management of acute stroke referrals and in-patients as part of routine weekday and all out of hours periods.
The person appointed will be required to cover for colleagues during periods of absence. They will have continuing responsibility for patients in their care and the proper functioning of the Department.
