From a Cardiff base, you will operate on multiple global projects across various commodities and deposit types. This role involves overseas travel for geological tasks, data collection, and observations, sometimes solo or with colleagues, and may include extended field stays in challenging environments with limited communication.

Main Technical Responsibilities:

The role includes:

1. Following up on enquiries, writing proposals, and participating in client meetings.
2. Assisting in the strategy, design, and implementation of grassroots exploration projects, including regional geology research, mapping, and data analysis.
3. Participating in exploration and resource drilling program design and execution.
4. Contributing to technical reports such as NI43-101 and JORC CPRs.
5. Reviewing, processing, analyzing, and interpreting geodata.
6. Designing, implementing, and analyzing project QA/QC procedures.
7. Conducting prospectivity and targeting exercises.
8. Evaluating and auditing exploration projects worldwide.
9. Preparing GIS workspaces and 3D geological models.
10. Preparing for overseas visits, including risk assessments and logistics.
11. Performing fieldwork such as geological mapping, sampling, trenching, supervising drill programs, core logging, and geophysical surveys.
12. Managing local field teams.
13. Minimum BSc in Geology, Applied Geology, or Exploration Geology.
14. Understanding of exploration/mining industry roles.
15. Relevant practical experience in international mineral exploration/mining.
16. Knowledge of exploration fieldwork techniques.
17. Willingness to work outdoors and overseas for up to 4 weeks.
18. Legal right to work in the UK, valid passport, and driving license.
19. Knowledge of ore deposit geology and field techniques.
20. Report writing skills and strong English communication.
21. Experience dealing directly with clients.

Desirable requirements:

• Additional tertiary qualification (e.g., MSc).
• Previous consultancy experience.
• Experience with exploration datasets, GIS platforms, project databases, and international reporting standards.
• Experience with remote sensing data and geological software.
• Second language skills, especially French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
