University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant Rheumatologist. Based predominantly at Worthing and Southlands Hospitals, the post supports comprehensive rheumatology services across West Sussex and may involve travel to other locations as required.

You will provide outpatient clinics, inpatient reviews, joint injections and DMARD management, contribute to teaching and audits, and participate in governance and service development within the MSK

Qualifications

• FRC/MRC specialty with GMC registration or eligible.
• Full and specialist GMC registration or eligible within six months.
• Higher degree in a medical field.

Responsabilités

• Outpatient clinics: assess new patients, review follow-ups, perform injections.
• Ward referrals: inpatient reviews with rheumatic conditions, weekly radiology MDT.
• Admin duties: letters, dictation, signing, and prescribing biologics/DMARDs.
• Telephone and email advice to GPs and other specialists.
• Clinical audits: plan, collect data and present results.
• Supervision of CNSs and clinical assistants.
• Education/research with BSMS and Deanery links.
