Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in oncological cross‑sectional imaging. The post combines clinical leadership with participation in MDTs and a strong research and teaching ethos.

The successful candidate will be based mainly at The Christie site in Withington, with some scope for home working, and join a team of 27 consultants. GMC Specialist Register eligibility is required within six months.

Qualifications

• Appointee must be on GMC Specialist Register or eligible within six months of interview.
• CCT date within six months of interview or CESR eligibility is required.
• Experience in cancer imaging and cross‑sectional body imaging (CT/MRI/US, with PET‑CT where available).
• Evidence of participation in MDTs and leadership in clinical teams.
• Previous experience in teaching, audits, and research is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior diagnostic imaging input across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Lead or contribute to MDTs across tumour groups and participate in 2 MDTs.
• Join consultant on-call rota and maintain clinical governance and audit activity.
