Job summary

Transformation Unit in the United Kingdom seeks a Consultant Radiologist (Cross Sectional) with a focus on Cardiac CT and MSK imaging to join our radiology team. The role includes general radiology duties, participation in MDTs and on-call rotations, and supervision of SpRs.

Engagement in governance and mandatory training is required. Applicants should have FRCR or equivalent, and a recognised medical degree with UK registration.

Qualifications

• Degree from a recognised University.
• FRCR or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST/CST.
• Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients and offer expert clinical opinion in the specialty.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
• Ability to manage and lead the specialist unit if required.
• Experience of teaching special clinical skills.
• Awareness of current developments and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide general Radiology services as part of the radiology team.
• Contribute to specialist paediatric imaging services and MDT meetings.
• Supervise radiology SpRs in the department.
• Engage in Clinical Governance, Risk Management and Clinical Audit.
• Participate in Mandatory Training and Data Protection compliance.
