Qualifications

• FRCR or equivalent.
• CCT in Radiology, or within 6 months of achieving CCT at the time of interview.
• At least one year higher level training in thoracic/cardiac radiology at a recognised training centre.
• Full GMC registration
• Fellowship in thoracic imaging or post‑CCT experience
• Additional post graduate medical qualification
• Training in cardiac CT angiography, to a recognised level of expertise
• General training in Radiology to Specialist Level or equivalent
• Additional work experience in thoracic/cardiac radiology as above
• CT, MRI and US imaging of cardiothoracic disease in a tertiary referral centre
• Ability to make decisions at consultant level
• CT and US interventional skills including lung biopsy
• Cardiac CT angiography at a tertiary referral centre

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaging, intervention and biopsy services across the Trust.
• Attend non-resident on-call rota providing on-call radiology cover (1:10).
• Participate in thoracic MDT meetings and present cases.
• Contribute to acute imaging and in-patient CT/US sessions.
• Provide image-guided interventions and support resident doctors.
• Engage in teaching, training and research activities.
