Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for the Learning Disabilities team across Daventry/Sth Northants in the UK. The post requires MRCPsych or equivalent, full GMC registration, and CCT in LD or near completion. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, contribute to teaching and research, and travel to all Trust locations as needed.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent required.
• Full GMC registration required.
• Specialist Register/CCT in LD or nearing completion.
• Section 12 approval and able to act as Responsible Clinician.
• Postgraduate qualifications and publications encouraged.
• Minimum six years postgraduate experience (including three as SpR).
• Strong communication skills with patients and staff.
• Ability to present complex information to tribunals.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team in LD psychiatry service.
