Harrogate is a vibrant,picturesque and interesting spa town that provides the backdrop for a healthy,safe and satisfying working environment. It has excellent housing stock,sought-after state and independent schools, and was officially voted thehappiest place to live in the UK. It is within easy reach of motorways,main-line rail services and within close proximity to Leeds Bradford Airport.
Thereis variability to the mental health needs of both areas, as there are pockets ofaffluence with independent schools, as well as areas of deprivation andunemployment.
Thisis a substantive 0.8 WTE Consultant post in the Harrogate Acute HospitalLiaison Service (AHLS). This is a replacement post after the post-holder movedinternally to another Consultant post within TEWV.
AHLScurrently provides a Core-24 Liaison Psychiatry service to Harrogate DistrictHospital. This services sits within the whole systems model in the Harrogate,Hambleton and Richmondshire area.
This is an 8PA post withHarrogate AHLS. Full-time consultants are also encouraged to apply as there areopportunities within leadership and educational roles which could also beconsidered.
This post involves carefor both Working Age Adults (WAA) and Older Adults (OA) and we would thereforeinvite those with dual CCT qualifications as well as single CCT qualifications.In the case of those with single CCT qualifications, we would ensure that thepost-holder would get appropriate support and supervision with a Consultant withan appropriate CCT if required. The post-holder should have appropriate Liaisonexperience and preferably an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry.

We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.
