Job Description:

We are seeking an Addictions Consultant Psychiatrist to work 10 PAs at Forward Leeds alongside a junior doctor and a full-time Specialty Doctor.

Forward Leeds is a consortium of four organisations, including LYPFT, BARCA, St Anne's, and Humankind (the lead provider and data controller). The service operates across three sites: Armley Park Court, Kirkgate, and Irford House.

The Specialist Team provides assessment, treatment, and aftercare for individuals with substance misuse and complex needs, including Dual Diagnosis, Pregnancy and Parenting, Psychosocial Interventions, Hospital In-Reach, a primary care team, and Outreach.

Main duties:

Provide high-quality patient care, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and support service development. Work collaboratively with partners, including GPs and community teams, and participate in clinical governance, training, and CPD activities.

Qualifications:
  • MBChB, MRCPsych, endorsement in addictions desirable, CCT in GA psychiatry
  • Evidence of good communication skills and experience in QIP/service development
