Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for a prestigious mental health hospital in Preston, Lancashire. The role requires CCST/CCT in Psychiatry and experience in inpatient settings, ideally with eating disorders, with an emphasis on service development.

The post is permanent and part-time, with a pro-rata salary in the £105k–£108k range per annum, paid monthly. A supportive MDT environment is highlighted along with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Psychiatry.
• Experience in inpatient settings with significant mental health difficulties.
• Consultant-level experience in Eating Disorder Services.
• Keen interest in developing services in a forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients with eating disorders and determine treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans combining medical, psychological, and nutritional interventions.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as part of the overall treatment approach.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
• Advocate for patients and families and raise awareness to reduce stigma.
