Job summary

Priory Hospital Preston is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to lead the eating disorders unit. The post involves clinical leadership, assessment, treatment planning and risk management for adults, including acting as Responsible Clinician for detained patients.

The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) with a focus on leading multidisciplinary teams and managing referrals and admissions within an acute mental health setting.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• CCT or equivalent.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register.
• Section 12(2) approval.
• Approved Clinician status.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD.

Job description

This consultant psychiatrist post sits on the eating disorders unit at Priory Hospital Preston, a mental health hospital. The work centres on leading assessment, treatment planning and risk management for adults with eating disorders, including acting as Responsible Clinician for detained patients.
