Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Acute and Urgent Care Division in Watford. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team, conducting detailed assessments, and supporting the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment service.

Based at Colne House Watford, it requires regular home visits within the catchment area. The post holder will provide clinical leadership, manage high-risk cases, and liaise with GPs and carers to optimise care

Qualifications

• Leadership of a multi-disciplinary team
• Expert clinical input for patients with complex presentations
• Assessment of clinical risks and liaison with community and acute care teams
• Supervision of junior staff (Trainees/ SAS/Associate specialists)

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team.
• Offer expert clinical input for patients with complex presentations.
• Oversee initiation of treatment plans for service users awaiting MH admission.
• Regularly review service users’ needs and adjust management plans.
• Coordinate multi-agency support for frequent attenders to the acute pathway.
• Collaborate with Mental Health Liaison teams, MH Urgent Care Centre, and community teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Engage with partner organisations for joined-up working and safe practices.
