Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Stockport is recruiting a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist for the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. The role provides medical leadership for patients with mental health crises treated at home or on discharge from inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Possession of a medical degree.
• GMC registration and license to practice.
• Entry into Specialist Register or eligible.
• Higher psychiatric training or equivalent.
• Section 12 (2) Approval or eligible.
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or within 6 months of award.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults with crises managed at home or discharge from inpatient services.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure coherent care for adults with severe mental health issues in Stockport.
• Support service development and attend local service development meetings.
• Contribute to teaching of medical and nursing staff.
