Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a Complex Recovery Service (CRS) at Barnet Lane Clinic. You will join an experienced medical team and oversee a small caseload, with responsibilities spanning diagnostic assessment, medication management, and Responsible Clinician duties under the Mental Health Act where required.

You will work with psychology, nursing and therapy colleagues to deliver the service's phased treatment model and support personalised recovery plans.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the General Medical Council, with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
• Approved clinician status, or eligibility to obtain this within an agreed timeframe.
• Section 12(2) approval.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, including engagement with families, carers and external agencies.

Responsabilités

• Provide consultant psychiatric leadership for a small caseload within the CRS, including diagnostic assessment and medication management.
• Lead the shared narrative formulation for patients under your care.
• Drive the phased treatment model across stabilisation, active treatment and reintegration.
• Chair or contribute to weekly multidisciplinary reviews, CPA and CTR processes, and daily huddles.
• Support reduction of restrictive practice in line with the Positive and Proactive Care framework.
• Engage with families, carers and external commissioners and contribute to governance and safeguarding.
