Qualifications

• Full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment.
• Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act or equivalent within 6 to 12 months.
• Management qualification or evidence of an interest in developing leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, assessment, and treatment services for children and adolescents.
• Promote high-quality multidisciplinary relationships.
• Participate in an emergency out-of-hours rota.

Skills

Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective

Knowledge of legislation and Department of Health Guidance

Experience working with various patient groups

Education

MB BS or equivalent recognised medical qualification

Full medical registration with a licence to practice

MRCPsych or equivalent

Relevant higher degree (e.g., MD, PhD, MSc)
