Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS Intellectual Disability Service on a part-time, permanent basis.

The role involves working across Ashfield sites with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to children and young people. MRCPsych and CAMHS/ID certification are required, with travel between clinical bases. The post offers professional development opportunities and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych and CCT in CAMHS/ID or eligible within six months.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register (or anticipated within six months).
• Approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
• Ability to travel between clinical bases and home addresses.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessments, formulations, diagnosis and management plans.
• Liaise with community teams, families and agencies supporting children and young people.
• Provide clinical leadership to the CAMHS Intellectual Disability team.
• Ensure appropriate use of the Mental Health Act and participate in on-call duties.
• Maintain high-quality clinical records and contribute to audits and outcomes.
