Cygnet Afon Las, Corwen (Denbighshire), is recruiting a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to lead high‑quality neurocognitive inpatient care for men. You will oversee ward care, audits, governance and multi‑disciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to progress to Medical Director through internal schemes.

You will be fully GMC registered with MRCPsych and experienced in neuropsychiatry, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage complex cases within a rising new service.

Qualifications

• Fully GMC registered and MBBS qualified.
• Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status.
• Experience in Neuropsychiatry / Neurocognition.
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on high quality care for inpatients at Cygnet Afon Las.
• Oversee treatment plans with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Assess referrals and conduct mental state examinations.
• Undertake investigations, diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct ward rounds, patient reviews & clinical audits.
• Lead risk assessment and embed clinical governance.
• Supervise MH Act tribunals reports and hearings.
• Communicate with Site Medical Director and Hospital Manager.
• Attend academic meetings and CPD activities.

Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, the hospital will provide a 15-bed neurocognitive service for men, delivering specialist care and support for individuals with complex needs.
