Job Title:Consultant Neuropsychiatrist Service Line: Neurocognitive services (Male) Professionally Accountable to:Regional Medical Director for Neuropsychiatry Managerially Responsible to:Hospital Manager We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Neuropsychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Afon Las and provide senior medical cover within our neurocognitive service for men Cygnet Afon Las is a brand-new service scheduled to open in early 2027. Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, the hospital will provide a 15-bed neurocognitive service for men, delivering specialist care and support for individuals with complex needs. The service will accept referrals from the community, as well as from neurosurgical and neurorehabilitation services, offering a clear pathway for assessment, treatment and recovery. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines. In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
