The post is based at Worthing Hospital and SRH, with 4 infection consultants delivering a comprehensive service and a weekly MDT with ID colleagues in Brighton. Inpatient Infectious Diseases are based at RSCH, Brighton, with an on-call pattern and teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Essential: Basic medical degree and GMC registration; FRCPath or equivalent.
• Evidence of teaching interest and audit participation.
• Ability to work in multi-professional teams; understanding of NHS governance and resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage infections through direct clinical liaison including daily ITU/HDU and antimicrobial stewardship rounds.
• Provide a comprehensive infection service with advice on samples, interpretation, treatment and infection prevention.
