Job description

Consultant in Pain Management with Anaesthetics - Locum FTC

Triple West Medical is currently seeking an experienced Consultant in Pain Management with Anaesthetics for a Locum FTC of 6 to 12 months.

The NHS Trust serves a population of over 350,000 across multiple sites, providing secondary and some specialist services. They are looking to add an experienced consultant to their friendly team.

The role includes managing Chronic Pain Management as a 5 PA activity, leading a Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic, and covering a day case procedure list. The postholder may also receive support to gain expertise in managing intrathecal drug delivery systems. The full job plan, including Anaesthesia PAs, can be agreed with the Clinical Director.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing consultant-led pain management services according to service needs.
  2. Participating in continuing professional development and maintaining standards set by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
  3. Undertaking teaching and training activities.
  4. Engaging in the appraisal and job planning processes.
  5. Participating in clinical governance and audit activities.

Our client is willing to issue Certificates of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience are essential for this position.
