Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to provide clinical leadership and expertise in mental health services for older adults in Cambridgeshire. The role involves supporting the delivery of comprehensive psychiatric care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to service development. This is an immediate start position for an ongoing period of 3 months, full-time (40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing psychiatric assessment and diagnosis for older adults with conditions such as dementia, depression, anxiety, and psychosis.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
  • Leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and care planning.
  • Supporting patients and families with education on mental health conditions and management strategies.
