Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust offers a role within its Frailty Service in Carlisle/Whitehaven. The post focuses on embedding same day care for frailty, with cross-site responsibilities and ongoing workforce development.

Candidates should have GMC registration, CCT in geriatrics or equivalent, and strong leadership in a multidisciplinary setting. Excellent communication, patient-centred care, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a specialty in geriatrics and GIM is essential.
• Higher specialist training (CCT/ CESR) in geriatrics or equivalent is required or expected.
• Evidence of teaching, audit and clinical governance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Embed a Same Day Care frailty pathway and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Assess and manage frail older patients, ensuring timely care in the right place.
• Shape clinical standards, pathways and service development in line with guidance.
