Job overview
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make a substantive whole time appointment to this newly established post with Bury Mental Health Services. This post will cover a sector of the Bury area. The post has been created due to the current consultant moving to another job in the trust.
The Bury general adult psychiatry service (generally for people aged 16 to 64) has been run since 2008 according to a model whereby our team of consultants are deployed as follows: Three consultants work exclusively in the community and outpatient focus areas, one working with the Early Intervention Service, and two inpatient area including Home Treatment and two A&E Liaison Team. Also one consultant in Living Well.
Within this arrangement, the consultant appointed to this post will work with other sector consultants (East, West and South sector community outpatients).
Main duties of the job
This is a newly created post. This is an exciting time to join the Trust and there are many opportunities to contribute to the organisations' innovation and for personal development.
Bury has a very strong teaching commitment and candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of medical and nursing staff.
Patients will be seen in community clinics, at their own homes or in other clinical settings according to clinical need.

What happens if I am offered the position after interview?
The hiring manager will make contact with you to verbally offer you the position. The hiring manager will then inform Recruitment of the decision and provide relevant paperwork. You will be sent a formal conditional offer via email.
What pre-employment checks will I need to complete?
