A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Mid Cheshire Hospital. The role involves managing emergency services, fostering interdepartmental relationships, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Candidates must have full GMC registration and relevant experience in emergency medicine.
Job summary
Applications are invited for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine based at Mid Cheshire Hospital in Crewe. The Emergency Department, Division of Medicine and Emergency Care, comprises 11 Consultants (including this post), supported by 5 Specialty Doctors, 6 Specialist Trainees, 6 GPSTs, 3 Foundation Year 2 Doctors, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
The ED is a busy, accredited trauma unit providing acute emergency services for Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, serving a catchment population of around 300,000. It is a proactive, progressive department with a young, dynamic Consultant team with interests including paediatric emergency medicine and education. We continually develop our emergency services through flow initiatives, evidence-based pathways, and new skills such as stroke thrombolysis and paediatric procedural sedation.
The successful applicant must have full GMC registration and a valid Licence to Practise. They should also be on the Specialist Register or within six months of completing their CCT.
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to visit the department prior to interview. The proposed AAC date is 17.07.2025.
