Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine (8 PAs). Emergency Medicine is a rewarding and challenging specialty, and we are seeking a proven emergency physician to join our team at a world-class hospital. We offer a sustainable working pattern and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
You will join a friendly, supportive team of over 27 WTE Consultants working on an annualized rota to provide comprehensive Emergency Care at CUH. The hospital is a busy, acute, specialist tertiary referral centre and a top regional Major Trauma Centre with low mortality ratios. You will be supported by a motivated nursing team, training doctors, Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Care Practitioners, and other specialists.
Applicants must be GMC registered and have a CCT in Emergency Medicine or be within six months of award at interview. Applications from those unable to work full-time or wishing to job-share are welcome.
All new Consultants attend a five-day development programme within their first year, focusing on leadership and management skills essential for success at CUH.
Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills in English, as per GMC standards. Non-UK applicants need IELTS/OET certification before GMC registration. Applicants must present a criminal record certificate from each country of residence over 12 months in the past 10 years. Adult dependants are also subject to this requirement.
