ESNEFT is inviting applications for a 0.8 wte Consultant Haematologist with an interest in Red Cell and General Haematology. Applicants will have completed CCT or equivalent and must be on the Specialist Register. The post involves leading a consultant-led service, teaching and MDT engagement, and on-call duties within a well-supported team.

• Full and Specialist registration (and with a licence to practise) with the GMC or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.

Responsabilités

• Provide a specialist clinical and laboratory haematology service that is complimentary and enhancing to the current service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical and laboratory haematology; expert in bone marrow aspirates.
• Take part in the haematology on-call rota and respond to clinical and laboratory queries.
• Collaborate with haematology colleagues to care for patients with blood disorders.
• Lead educational programmes and MDT meetings; contribute to audits and teaching.
• Ensure information is available to measure performance and benchmarks in the area.
