An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join their team at North Middlesex University Hospital. Applications are invited for a substantive [10 PA] Consultant Haematologist based at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH) NHS Trust in North London, serving over 600,000 residents across Enfield, Haringey, and surrounding areas.
The department treats various haematological conditions, excluding haemophilia, intensive acute leukaemia treatments, and cellular therapies. We have a Specialist Haemoglobinopathy Team (SHT) providing comprehensive care for 800 SCD patients and approximately 40 with thalassaemia major. The Red Cell Service has been undergoing significant improvements since 2022.
The post-holder should have an interest in red cell disorders, especially SCD and thalassaemia, which will account for about 50% of clinical duties, and will co-lead the red cell service. They may choose to pursue another area of interest, subject to approval by the lead clinician.
